Ministry Day 4 - June 24

"Set your minds on what is above, not what is on earth."
-- Colossians 3:2

Wow, what an absolutely amazing day of worship and connecting with people.  Our day started out with worship at Remanso De Amor.  It was so encouraging to worship with other believers in Jesus Christ.  During the service our team was introduced, Stan shared his testimony and Tom was able to preach on Jeremiah 1:4-8.  The worship was very similar to what our Genesis service looks like, lots of singing, preaching and prayer.

Following worship the school was hosting an open house for the students to show off some of their work and boy was it impressive.  This was also the first year that school had graduating seniors so it was fun to be there for this momentous occasion!

After the open house we went to lunch and had the joy of spending some time at Pastor Romero's home talking and praying, they were so generous.  We then headed out to a more rural part of the city and experienced worship at a church plant of Remanso De Amor.  The area was very poor and the church was about 10x10 so we ended up having worship on the street.  The amazing thing was that kids showed up, probably 50 of them and during worship they danced during the songs and sat still for the rest of the service, it was amazing!

Standing in stark contrast to this community was the very modern mall where we eat dinner.  It was such a contrast to put the two side by side.  In one the children had worn out shoes or no shoes at all, in the other much like our lives the overabundance was startling.  It makes we wonder how can we use the blessings that we have received to bless others in a more powerful way, why don't you pray about that!
