Orientation Day - June 20

"It (the Gospel) is bearing fruit and growing all over the world."
-- Colossians 1:6

Today was a day of orientation!  We spent the morning at our beautiful Hostel with our team hosts Jade and Chance walking through many of the details of how our time in Quito will play out.  After spending a couple of hours with them we made our way to the Youth World headquarters where Brad Miller gave us an overview of the all the ministries that Youth world is involved, wow the ministry is amazing.

After a fabulous lunch we spent the afternoon site seeing in downtown Quito followed by another orientation focused on how a short term team can interact with people in such a way to encourages one another to allow the Holy Spirit to work in the process of bearing fruit.

We concluded the day with a great chicken dinner and team time together.  During team time we each shared a snapshot of the day and already many tears were shed!  One team member shared how seeing the lights of Quito as we flew in brought tears to her eyes because she was finally here and that was a big deal because doing this was way out of her comfort zone.  Her point was that God has been at work encouraging her to step out and follow Him?  How is God doing that with you today?

Thanks,
the team
